CDMA Phone question

What is an unlocked CDMA Verizon phone?
I'm bidding on a Samsung Fascinate on ebay, but I just found out that it's a CDMA phone, and doesn't accept SIM cards, so I actually need GSM...

Means it can be brought to other CDMA providers like Sprint and you could ask them to activate the phone to their network. Whether or not they'll accept activating it is another matter. I suggest you cancel your bid since that phone won't work with ATT or T-Mobile the GSM providers.
