Get two controllers working in dolphin (wii) ?

V This question was answered by JustChillin1414

On dolphin for the PC, I cannot get two controllers at the same time to work. Dolphin only responds to the controller in slot one. I have them working fine in GCN settings and all that, but during a game the second controller doesn't work. This wouldn't be a controller problem because they work fine in the settings, as I have said earlier. I really doubt that you need my PC specs, they run games fine, but its a Dell XPS 8300.

Yes, they are both set to standard controller.

This is how I got multiple controllers working on gamecube games, also tried brawl and it worked. I'm also using PS3 controllers, but on a mac.

You have to edit the Dolphin.ini file, a quick google search will help you find it. You will find SIDevice0 near the bottom of the file, look at the number beside it, mine is 6. All I did was copy the number from SIDevice0 and changed the values for SIDevice1, SIDevice2, SIDevice3 to that number (The zero value beside them means they are deactivated). Now it works. Let me know if it works for you.

What game? This matters A LOT.

Maybe you could try setting the controllers to different backends, i.e. one DirectInput and the other SDL.

Can you take pictures of your NGC controller set-ups for BOTH controllers. Which controller(s) would help too. Make a new post with the snapshots/photographs of the settings, with Windows Snipping Tool or a camera that has bearable and usable quality.

Ok, I can't take photos until tomorrow but they are both PS3 controllers connected with Motioninjoy DS3-Tool. The games don't matter I think. I tested with Mario Kart Wii and Sonic Colors, neither responded to player 2.

I have not tested a GCN game yet, I'll try tomorrow.

Well, looks like they're already 6. Geez, what a problem...

EDIT: they magically work. WTF?
